Hunky Dory (Back Cover)

Widely considered to be one of Bowie’s finest records, Hunky Dory saw Bowie bolster his signature brand of folksy psychedelia with the fresh sound of Glam Rock. Some of Bowie’s most prevailing songs were on this album, including “Life on Mars?”, “Changes”, and “Oh! You Pretty Things”. More personal than its predecessors, a lot of the album’s songs had to do with his family or his heroes. Bowie continued to solidify his backing band by adding bassist Trevor Bolder. The album also featured an appearance by keyboard wizard and intermittent collaborator Rick Wakeman.

This particular look was taken from the back cover: a full length shot of Bowie looking particularly awkward and gangly.
